My career goal is to help filmmakers tell their narrative through powerful visuals by crafting stories, adding realistic visual effects. Any emotion is incomplete without motion. I approach each and every video production and visual effects project with this ideology, working individually or within a team towards a common goal of delivering a well-crafted engaging visual story or realistic visual effects.
My interest in art developed because of Pune’s local Ganesh festival. When I was 12-13 years old I started making decoration sets of a miniature model. In 2007 I got an opportunity to design a large scale set in local Ganesh festival, I took this opportunity seriously and designed a set of UFO landing on earth then aliens were coming out and distributing candies to the children, that's how my career into media took off.
In 2011, while studying Mass Communication specializing in film and video production, I got an opportunity to participate in American Cinema Editors, Eddie Awards Student Competition, which laid the foundation for my career in post-production. Later on, all professional endeavors made me realize that the post-production and visual effects industry is very time sensitive where every frame and every second count which requires calm and focused efforts either by an individual or by a team.
My career in post-production has flourished around Adobe Creative Suite apps, specifically Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects, and Media Encoder. However, I have updated knowledge of various digital and film formats, file types, frame rate, codecs, compression-decompression, color space, resolution, look-up table (LUT) and bridged post-production skills to other applications like Avid Media Composer, DaVinci Resolve, Nuke Studio. Latest education in 3D modeling and VFX production from Humber College gave me sound understanding and knowledge about VFX production workflow and the ability to see the big picture from editorial point-of-view.
Apart from professional skills, I possess some key interpersonal skills such as initiate, anticipate next course of action, listening and taking direction or criticism from peers and superiors positively, make real-time improvements based on feedback and read instructions carefully. Every project is unique, therefore requires a creative and out-of-the-box approach, and at the same time, if media are organized with great detail, that project starts translating into success right from the ingestion process. I am looking forward to integrating my knowledge and skills with creative, editorial and VFX production teams.
